We embrace talking about our son Estin and our experience of loosing our precious baby. To preface the story, I had a picture perfect pregnancy- no morning sickness, walking 4-6 miles day for the majority of my pregnancy, target weight gain, and you could not even tell that I was pregnant from behind. To solidify even more, son was at the 49th percential during my 20 week “anatomy” visit. During my 39th week visit, they decided to schedule me for an ultrasound for the following week to prepare for whether I needed to be induced or not. The date for the ultrasound coincidently scheduled on June 9th. We went in for the ultrasound that morning and within a quick moment she paused the screen, the tech told us that she would be right back because she had to get the doctor. We inquired as to why we needed to see the doctor and she just said that she could not tell us and that the doctor needed to tell us. After about what felt like hours, the doctor came in and reviewed the screened. She came over to use with compassion and said, “I’m sorry, but the baby does not have a heart beat”. Fast forward through some details-  I was induced at 8pm that night.
Our son, Estin was delivered at 6:27 pm on June 10th, 2015 without a breath or a cry at10 pound 8 ounce, 22 inch long boy.

Thank you again for staying with me through the journey of my long story attempted to be short.
